Thayer Celebrates 13th Annual Veterans Day Event at West Point

On November 11, 2025, Thayer Leadership, in partnership with Chief Executive Group, hosted its 13th Annual Veterans Day Event at the historic Thayer Hotel on the grounds of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, marking both Thayer’s 15th anniversary and the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday.

This annual event reinforces Thayer Leadership’s commitment to bridge the civilian-military divide and spotlight the extraordinary value veterans bring to any organization through resilience, leadership, and service. It brings together corporate and military leaders for a day of connection, learning, and reflection on how organizations can better support veterans and their families.

As part of this year’s event, the 2025 Patriots in Business Awards Ceremony honored distinguished companies—Northrop Grumman, Greencastle Consulting, and Valor Technologies—along with honorable mentions including Lendmark Financial Services, Arcfield, and Milspec Talent.

Attendees participated in an interactive roundtable led by Chief Executive Group’s Editor in Chief, Dan Bigman, exploring how organizations can better support military spouses, Reservists, and National Guard members. Reflections also came from distinguished retired military officers: Brigadier General (Ret.) Bernie Banks, Ph.D., offered thoughtful remarks on the significance of Veterans Day and the enduring leadership legacy of West Point, followed by a guided leadership experience led by Major General (Ret.) Bill Rapp, Ph.D., across the inspirational West Point campus.
