Experience

Todd is renowned as a top Leader Development practitioner, distinguished by his unique combination of deep leadership experience, building systems and programs of leader development, as an expert leadership and management teacher and scholar, and expert mentor and coach. As a commander and leader of a dozen operational teams and organizations and multiple deployments in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations, Todd has led in the toughest and most dynamic circumstances. His deep leadership experience is paired with equally impressive skills and experience teaching leadership and developing leaders of character. Todd served as the Director of the West Point Leadership Center for six years, where he was instrumental in producing leaders of character at the world’s most prestigious leader development institution. Additionally, he led the Eisenhower and Benavidez Leadership Development Programs for six years, joint ventures with West Point and Columbia University devoted to educating and preparing the best leader developers. Todd has delivered leadership and leader development programs to some of the world’s most successful businesses, strategic leaders, and top MBA programs. Todd is also an ICF trained leadership and executive coach.

As an award-winning leadership scholar, and the head of multiple world-class leader developer programs, Todd has published papers on leadership and organizations in the most prestigious and selective journals and his work is cited and used by over 1000 other published studies and papers and by several thousand scholars.

Todd’s life purpose is to develop leaders of character for the Nation and to continue nurturing his children to become transformative leaders, ready to change the world. His wife is his partner in leadership development and service, and they have four successful adult children.
