Jenny partners with organizations to identify leadership development priorities and deliver customized experiences that strengthen leaders, teams, and organizational performance. Drawing on her experience in leader development, adult education, military leadership, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement, Jenny helps clients translate organizational needs into practical, values-based leadership solutions.
Prior to joining Thayer Leadership, Jenny served at the United States Military Academy at West Point as an active-duty instructor for MX400: Officership, the Superintendent’s capstone course for first-class cadets. In this role, she educated and prepared future Army officers to lead with character, apply sound judgment, and navigate the demands of complex operating environments.
Jenny’s military career spanned more than 20 years across the Active Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve. Commissioned as an Engineer Officer after graduating from West Point, she deployed several times to Iraq and served in positions that included Battle Captain, Humanitarian Service Officer, and Protocol Officer for the 1st Infantry Division. She later served as the State Public Affairs Officer for the Virginia National Guard, advising senior leaders, developing communication strategies, preparing public affairs professionals, and coordinating communication efforts during major domestic response operations.
Her career also includes service as Military Liaison to a United States Senator, where she worked with military leaders and community stakeholders, supported the development of legislation affecting service members and their families, and facilitated collaboration among government, military, and civic organizations. Jenny also worked with the national nonprofit Give an Hour, helping build community-based systems of care that connected service members, veterans, and military families with local support organizations. She later co-founded All Saints Christian Academy, a K-12 classical school in North Carolina.
