Katie was born and raised in Warwick, New York and currently lives in the Hudson Valley.  She received her BS from Providence College in Business Management and in May 2022 completed her MBA with a concentration in Strategic Management from Villanova University.

She worked on the Global Experience Team at Kellogg School of Management - Northwestern University where she helped develop and implement student-focused programs in both domestic and international locations.  It was during this time she learned how much she enjoyed the higher education environment and reignited her desire to work in a people-focused organization with a mission to develop others. 

Katie has also had the good fortune of living and working both in Hawaii and Washington, D.C. In the former, she served Army families as a government contractor and, in the latter, she began her professional career as an events manager at Competitive Carriers Association – a lobbying firm – where she learned the importance of good leadership and practical experience. Katie is thrilled to have an opportunity to work at Thayer Leadership and learn from the phenomenal leaders as part of this organization.

Katie married her husband, Major Adam Scott (USMA 2012), at West Point in the Fall of 2017.  The Scott family is happy to be back at West Point where Adam is a rotating instructor within the Behavioral Sciences and Leadership Department.  They reside on West Point with their Australian Shepherd, Mokes.  In her free time, Katie maintains an active lifestyle and loves to cook, is an avid traveler, and an enthusiastic sports fan.
