Experience
Marie graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science degree in Management. In her time at the Academy, Marie served as a Battalion Command Sergeant Major, Co-Captain of the Swim Team and the Cadet in Charge (CIC) of Officers Christian Fellowship. She set three Academy swimming records with her relay teams. Marie commissioned as an Adjutant General Officer, completed her Officer Basic Course in Fort Jackson, and became the battalion S1 for the 101st Soldier Support Battalion. In this role, she served the 342 Soldiers, who served about 24,000 soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). After a year with the 101st, she was asked to assess for a position in the elite 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). She became the unit’s Public Affair’s officer in January of 2002, on the cusp of the release of “Blackhawk Down” and the first casualties from the global war on terror. Marie completed Green platoon, the unit’s specialized training, and deployed to Afghanistan in June 2002. She became active in the unit’s Gold-Star Family program, assisting and supporting families of fallen soldiers within the unit. After five years serving in the US Army, she pursued a career in Leader Development. Marie has a passion for identifying growth potential and strategies to maximize leaders’ impact. She teaches, develops and coaches hundreds of leaders each year, from CEOs to Superintendents, primarily as a Strategic Partner with a consulting group. She is Professional Coach Certified (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as well as certified and practiced in numerous leader development tools to include the Hogan and CliftonStrengths assessments.
