Digital Open Enrollment
Values-Driven Leadership Journey: Lessons from the Army and West Point
Thayer’s newest Open Enrollment offering leverages online and virtual components to create an engaging digital leadership journey that challenges participants to combine character with knowledge and action, in order to unleash the “whole leader”. A phased learning journey – 1) Lead Yourself, 2) Lead Teams, 3) Lead with Purpose, and 4) Lead with Commitment – incrementally builds knowledge to repeat and refine application and encourage self-discovery. The blend of digital components deliver multi-media activities that engage participants, develop connections, facilitate large and small group discussions, and generate self-discovery.
What Participants Are Saying:
- "One of the things for me coming into this was that I had lost my passion around leadership, well my flame has been re-kindled and I'm burning bright with hope to take this forward."
- "While I was hesitant about the on-line versions effectiveness, I have to say I was completely wrong. The pace and the length of the on-line training allowed for reflection and "soak time" to truly learn to apply the weeks lessons."
- "I too would like to thank everyone at Thayer who has been so generous with sharing your knowledge and insights from your own career journeys, so gracious with your time, pushing us individually and collectively to get to know ourselves and what we want to be as leaders and then, showing us the paths to achieve results. I too had a dip in my commitment to leadership for a variety of both personal and professional reasons, and this course truly reinvigorated my desire to lead, and lead with purpose. I want to feel that excitement that comes with inspired leadership and move forward with gusto!"
- "Very impressed with the content of this leadership course and great work with transitioning to online."

"There’s power in the art of effective communication. A leader must not only develop an easily understood vision, but he has to communicate it to his team in a way that is understandable to all."
